An end of an era
Over the weekend I was reflecting on the history of my life with my healing work. I remembered the relief and dinner plate eyes when I saw the timing matching the feeling of ‘I think my time is done in this space’. I thought of the bits of wisdom that organically found their way to me to help me feel less like I was ‘giving up’ versus knowing an era of my life had played it’s part.
As I was prepping to do this session, I realised I’ve done a weekly session, with a few small gaps, every week since 2012, back in the good old days of the Goddess Imperative when I started a concept with a friend I’d made in the heady days of the Law of Attraction teachings. I’d not thought about that person for so long until the weekend and realised how much older we were now to back then. The things that had played out and what brought that soul agreement to a very sudden, but undoubted end.
Life since 2009 in a healing space, has been amazing. Mainly because people like you have been keeping me company with your permission to tap into the energy and see the trauma, speak it, and give you the tools to release it. I know that I tapped into a piece of the puzzle with healing that together with medicine, would change the collective’s ability to remove suffering from a health journey, even if you’re actively dying. The thing is though, you have to put some work into it. Knowing what I know now, especially as I enter the menopause phase of my life, being able to take a pill or rub a cream into your arm for relief because you’re exhausted, is a good option.
I believe since the pandemic, we had to hit a reset button with health and healing. Trust was destroyed. The media and the conspiracy people pitched everyone against everyone else. Personal choice was demonised - no matter what personal choice you made for yourself. With panic came blame. With blame came the unveiling of the inept running the free world.
All of that is to say, we are all privileged to be living in such an epic era of change. I say that with the caveat that the innocent people suffering and paying the price for hideous old white men continuing the lying and gaslighting while other old white people say ‘they have the right to defend themselves’, while the people they bomb and destroy are called regimes, are not privileged. They are the people we will remember in the history books when the wrongs of narrative are righted in years to come. I long for the day when the narrative shifts to a greater truth and the rest of the world is educated enough to see the lies we have been all fed for decades.
